Naughty, Naughty!

Ok so I have been really bad about keeping up with my blogging.  I guess it is because I don't have many followers.  Any suggestions on how to get more followers?  Post tutorials? Giveaways?

Well, I can start by getting back into the Challenges again.  I will start with the CardzTV Designer Challenge #3 Anything Goes!

For my entry I made a "Spider Slider" card as follows:

I inked a spider web embossing folder and then ran it through my Cuttlebug.  I punched a word window in that piece as far down as the punch would allow.  I placed a penny behind the piece and attached a foam glue dot to it.  After removing the backing sheet, I place another penny on top of the first penny over the word window, then attaching a spider cut from Cricut and adding google eyes.  I bent the legs up slightly so they would not catch on the window when spinning.  It came out much better than I thought and my Granddaughter will love it!

I'm on a roll!

I thought I might as well post this second project as long as I am on here, right!
This was also for the family I made the card for.
My first one also and it was easy and fun.  It took longer to decorate the jar then to put in the ingredients.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

GONE AGAIN!

I don't know how people post on their blogs so often,  I can't find the time to get any projects on here.
So now there is a challenge over at Cardz TV which sparked my imagination and I had a couple of projects to do so I can check off three things on my list.

Cardz TV Card Designers Challenge #6 "Thanksgiving"
Create a card for Thanksgiving.

Here is my card for this challenge:

It is a gate fold with a circle die cut on top of a scallop die cut.  I inked the edge of my die to emboss the green color around the outside of the circle.
But the magic happens inside...
Wait for it...

And there it is!  The turkey pops out from under the red triangle!
I had so much fun and it really was a a challenge to figure this one out.  I didn't use a template or measurements.  I just wung it and I think it came out great!

Have a Great Thanksgiving!

Thank you to all who serve in every way!

Getting Ready!

Hello Everyone!

It is almost Labor Day and In have been busy preparing for my first ever class at the Southern Tier Scrap Gathering.  The ladies have made a few changes this year, dropping a few group classes and adding more hands on technique based classes.  I am hoping the participants enjoy the new setup but we will find out soon.

I never knew how involved teaching a class could be.  I only have a few hours a day to work on this so it seems like the going is slow.  I keep coming up with new ideas to add to my setup so maybe this is the reason.  LOL

So anyway, in the meantime, I had some cards to do so here they are...

Sympathy card using a collage stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black on white mat.
Layered this on black onto a blue base card.
Inside:  A computer generated sentiment in blue above a border cut with the
Cuttlebug and a Sizzix Border die.
Sympathy card using a HOTP Fern Mini Stamp.  Walnut ink stamped off to lighten the color stamped randomly on white card cut with Sizzix Deckle Frame.  Olive green frills stamped around to add color to the mat.  Inked edges in walnut.  Attached to olive green card base.
Inside: Computer generated sentiment in black on an embossed deckle frame, inked edges and partial stamped image on corner.
Any Occasion card using Faux Washy Tape technique on white card base.  Torn pieces of paper attached staggered with a HOTP Love Mini stamp.  A button and baker's twine on top of a paper flower finishes it off.  Blank inside for message.
White card base with patterned paper, layered multi-stamped flower and stamped banner.
Inside is blank for message.

That is all for today.  I will be posting pictures of my class setup and hope I have good things to report about my class and the changes made.

Happy Scrapping
